I couldn't share a photo album through the Android app and my albums don't sync with the Win10 app. Pictures: Uploading and watching picture albums is slow and the site is still in transition between the old and the new. A tag edit option on the site or W10 would be nice. If I change a tag it needs to reupload the whole 150MB again. Music: Streaming music leaves gaps of 5 seconds between every song while it is buffering the next one. I see the beginnings of a cool ecosystem with nicer (but still barebones) universal apps with the 'OneDrive-glue' that ties everything together.Īnd that's the problem: the glue dries way too slow.

I was trying Windows 10 with going "all in" into OneDrive for picture sharing, music streaming, mobile android access and iPad acces. Well after 2 weeks of trying I must say OneDrive is the achilles heel of Windows 10. What is your experience with OneDrive compared to other services? Such a shame because I was hoping to go all in with the 'Windows 10 experience'. Since I uploaded my pictures, music and work documents do have a lot files. Also opening files, pictures or music takes a lot long longer then on competing platforms. It seems things like Dropbox and Google Drive sync my stuff within 2 seconds when I put in a folder but OneDrive seem to takes ages no matter the platform/app I use. Is this normal? I have a very good internet connection.

Also my OneDrive has created doubles with the name of my PC added to the filename. So I take out my Android phone and whatever I do in that app there is always that turning refreshing icon at the top and it goes equally slow. Deleting pictures took a very long time and then I got a message the pictures couldn't be removed but when I refresh some are gone anyway. Then I opened some pictures on my iPad app and deleted them. It took my eventually 2 times restarting the OneDrive process to finally find them and get them to sync. While uploading 85 pictures my PC only synced a part of it. Whatever I do everything seems to go very slowly.
So everything would sync nice with the apps on my PC, iPad and Android phone. So I started uploading all my pictures, camera roll, word files, notebooks and music. Now that I have Windows 10 and Office 365 is thought about ditching those 2 and putting everything on OneDrive. Sometimes Microsoft servers are collapsed, try in different hours of the day, by my own experience, although I have an Office subscription, sometimes when I try to download a large unique file 10or more GB, the same thing happens to me as you.ĭo not hesitate to ask if you need more information.I have been using Dropbox and Google Drive for years. Now, if you have a good Internet connection, that we could try are these options:įirst, in an inPrivate/incognito window mode (Ctrl+Shift+P) in any Internet browser(try it with differents browsers) go to, access with your personal account, and try to download the content, also if have different files inside the shared folder, try to download the content in parts.īy other hand, verify if you have have any Proxy configuration, Firewall, AntiVirus, Anti-malware or a VPN connection and deactivate it. OneDrive website doesn't has a settings to increase or improve the performance or bandwidth to upload or download files/folder, that will depend in Microsoft servers.
